Automaton delivers a crushing, cinematic experience on Talos, their 2018 sophomore full-length. This concept album masterfully fuses doom, drone, and black metal, cementing the band's status in the Greek heavy scene. Featuring a landmark collaboration with legendary Cretan lyra player Psarantonis, Talos is a towering, devastating work. Critics have praised the record for its seamless layering and its bold, boundary-pushing approach to long-form composition.
