At The Zoo
The Story
The Next Step Quartet returns with their compelling third studio effort, At The Zoo. Originally released on June 5, 2020, this record captures the ensemble in a stripped-back, intimate configuration that highlights their evolution within the Greek contemporary jazz scene. Recorded live in Athens, the album trades the expansive arrangements of their previous work for a tighter, more focused interplay. It is a sophisticated, atmospheric exploration of modern jazz textures, proving that The Next Step Quartet remains a vital force. At The Zoo is an essential addition for any serious collector of European jazz.
