Amon Düül II

Amon Düül II delivered a polarizing final statement for United Artists with their 1973 studio album, Vive La Trance. Moving toward tighter, heavier rock structures, the record was met with initial critical derision from those who viewed it as a commercial pivot. Despite the skepticism, Vive La Trance remains a unique, essential artifact of the Krautrock era. Featuring guest vocals from Desmond Bonner, the album captures a band in transition, balancing their signature experimental spirit with newfound brevity. It stands as a fascinating, often misunderstood closing chapter to the group's most prolific period.
